Iced Creations
A friend taught me to make royal icing roses many years ago, and I've been hooked on cake decorating ever since. This is a good thing, since I have a daughter with a peanut and now a gluten allergy as well. Baking my own cakes has become a necessity as it is extremely difficult to locate a bakery that guarantees that their products are nut free as well as gluten free.
Over the past year I have been making cakes for our own consumption exclusively nut and gluten free. With experimentation, I now produce baked goods that you would never guess were free of wheat gluten.
The majority of cakes I have made have been birthday and special occasion cakes, but I have also create wedding cakes, including my own (see photo).
